Company types
- Limited liability company (OOD): founded by at least two natural or legal persons; minimum capital approximately 1 euro.
- Joint-stock company (AD): founded by at least two natural or legal persons; minimum capital approximately 25,000 euros.
Companies operate under Bulgarian company law and are entered in the Commercial Register of the Registry Agency. Registration with chambers of commerce and industry is optional.

- VAT: 20%; exports and intra-EU supplies are exempt
